A Kitchen Remodel With Colorful Country Charm

This kitchen was fun to remodel because we had a country theme, large windows, and a hardwood floor to start with.

One great thing about this Bowie kitchen remodel project was the ability to work with two framed windows that added a lot of character to the kitchen.  They were in great shape and didn’t need replacing, which saved on costs.  The owner wanted to keep the new microwave and gas stove.  But the existing sink, counter tops and cabinetry were worn and didn’t do much to help the room look coordinated or inviting.

    The owner wanted to enjoy time spent working in the kitchen and liked natural materials like wood and granite. Some people ask — Can you combine luxury finishes like granite with modern stainless steel and premium wood, and still get a casual country-kitchen that looks good?  Our answer is yes!

    The apron sink – or farmer house sink – in this kitchen adds a lot of classic charm – especially since the owner chose a porcelain finish instead of a typical stainless steel one.

    Also, the hanging pendant light helps adds elegance and style to the high-traffic sink and window area.
